Protests have been launched by people against a conversion of the former Castle Pub in Midanbury, Southampton, into a Tesco. A petition of 600 signatures has been collected against the new store.

Opponents of the Tesco have pointed out that there are already 3 stores within a mile of the area, and another will put further pressure on local traders.
