The Say No to New Supermarket Developments in Shoreham campaign organised a public meeting on 28th June 2012 to discuss plans for a supermarket in the town. The main speaker was Keith Taylor, Green MEP for the south east region.

St James's Street, Brighton

In March 2011 Sainsbury's was refused an alcohol licence for a new store on St James's Street because Brighton and Hove City Council's licensing committee decided the plans could have had an impact on alcohol fuelled disorder in the city.
