Tesco wants to open a new store on the site of The Globe Hotel, on the busy junction of the A45 and A5 in Weedon.

A motion to approve the plans, which also include six flats, was previously defeated at a Daventry District Council planning meeting on 4th April, however the planning officer recommended approval so the application was considered again on 25th April.
