Tesco revealed plans to develop the Arriva bus depot in Hawkhurst.Together with Arriva, Tesco is appealing a decision to refuse plans to demolish the old bus depot and create a supermarket with 82 parking spaces.

Developer Edinburgh Land Estates' is planning to build a supermarket and 82 parking spaces on Heron Forstal Avenue.

A decision on the plans was postponed because some residents had not received a letter from Shepway District Council  notifying them of the date of the committee meeting.

Herne, Kent

Tesco withdrew its plans to buy an old village pub, the Upper Red Lion pub, to turn it into a Tesco Express.

A City Councillor set up a meeting with Tesco and invited the Parish council to attend, however, local residents were not invited to attend. Parish councillors voted unanimously to oppose the application and refuse any offers of financial support from Tesco around the village.... Read More
