In April 2014 the Discovery Park confirmed plans for a 30,000 sq ft Sainsbury’s supermarket and petrol station have been submitted to the council.

An application for an anonymous retail provision was submitted in September 2013.

It says it is no longer in a position to progress with plans for a shop in Dover Road due to changes in trading conditions and rising construction costs.
