Campaigning to curb supermarket power

Bury, Lancashire

Residents in Bury believed Tesco has bought a piece of land that currently has a long-established bakery on it at 67 Sunny Bank Road, Bury, BL9 8ES so they could knock down the building and replace it with a Tesco Expess. There is currently a One Stop shop opposite. Prestwich developer North Hold Group has applied to Bury Council to replace the bakery with a retail unit with 16 parking spaces.
